Dewey "Smitty" Smith - U.S. based designer
The Panther design came about because I wanted to incorporate all the design features from my wooden, flat-band "Spitfire" design, into an all metal Chinese style slingshot, with looped tubes, for lifetime use. I also designed it with large rings to ensure the tubes won't be restricted from free movement when the shot is released. The large tear drop in the handle is not only to save weight, but also to allow multiple grip styles with plenty of room on the larger than normal frame size.
I like to use this slingshot with 20-40 tubing: four strand when target shooting and eight strand for hunting small game. This frame is the end result of all my knowledge and research into the best frame design for Chinese style tubes.
I have now teamed up with Milbro Pro Shot™ & Hogan Castings because of their real commitment to the slingshot sport and because they make some of the toughest and most beautiful slingshots in the world. This partnership allows other people from around the world to enjoy my design.

Martin Coleman - U.K. based designer and manufacturer.
I originally got involved in making and shooting slingshots sometime in the early 1970s. My older brother made me a small beech natural with some solid round elastic. I was hooked from day one.
We were lucky enough to live near a huge wooded area when growing up, so I had an almost endless supply of natural forks to work with. A little later there were replaced with bent steel frames similar to the modern Dankung frames, and then board cuts. I progressed onto air rifles and shotguns but always had a slingshot with me.
When designing a slingshot the most important thing for me is comfort. I will usually go through several variations of a particular design until I'm happy with the fit and performance. I will then send a couple out to be tested. It is important for me to have input from other shooters; the feedback they provide is invaluable in making a better product.

Jörg Sprave - German based designer and manufacturer.
Jörg Sprave was born in 1965 in Dortmund, Germany, where he lived for the first 18 years of his life. He then studied Economics at the university of Paderborn and achieved a masters degree in Business Administration in 1989. After a long career in the field of electronics and entertainment product development and distribution, he is currently the CEO of a mid size consumer electronics company located in Kronach, Germany.
He likes weapons of all kind, including firearms and knives, but his special love is currently dedicated towards slingshots. He runs "The Slingshot Channel" on YouTube [http://www.youtube.com/user/JoergSprave] His blog can be found at www.slingshotchannel.blogspot.com.
Jörg Sprave is also a renowned author with several short stories published online, and also two books in print [both in the German language]. He lives with his family in Burgkunstadt, Germany.

Based on a wooden prototype that was made from 4000 years old moor oak, this “Hammerhead” design variation is the culmination of many different slingshots Jörg Sprave built over the course of several years.
It is a high performance frame, to be shot exclusively in the “hammer grip” or “pistol grip” shooting style. This style allows the strongest bands, but can be used equally well with light target setups. It is very low over the hand, making clumsy wrist braces obsolete. But due to the gently curved fork outline, it can be shot without any wrist flipping. Therefore, beginners and experts alike can take their shooting to new levels.
The handle is the key to the desired full control over the frame under the strain of heavy bands. The shape has to be different than a knife handle, simply because the pressure points are unique for handheld slingshots. The “Moorhead” has been optimized for that task with great care and lots of iterations.
Even though functionality was the most important goal, the design is truly elegant. The dramatic curves and the depth of the frame is unique and as pleasing to the eye as it feels in the hand.
Cast in aluminum or bronze, it will last forever. Even better, you can see the process of the casting in a video, featured on Jörg Sprave’s “The Slingshot Channel”. And below you can see the awesome power of the Moorhammer in action. Please be aware this video has sound.
